Blue and Gold Colors of State
Blue and Gold are the colors of the State of Arizona. You will not see these colors on any state decor in the capital buildings or elsewhere in the State. You do see the color blue in the State Flag. One might think that the rays of sunshine are gold in color. They are meant to be yellow. This combination of colors is common. California has the same colors of state but also does not use them in themes or depictions of State expressions.
Where you see these colors, infrequently, is at State sponsored parties, and sometimes at political headquarters.
Gold is a representation of the desire to achieve prosperity.
These colors also are used by the Boy Scouts of America. There is a banquet held annually using this color scheme usually in the Cub Scouts and Webelo divisions.
